What is Hypnosis?
Hypnosis is a
naturally occuring, trance like state, in which the conscious mind wanders and the unconscious mind becomes more accessible
to positive suggestions.
Being hypnotised is a bit like day dreaming, or when you are
so interested in a book or film that you lose track of time, or when you are driving and you arrive at your destination without
being able to remember parts of your journey.
These are all hypnotic states, and we all go through similar
states several times a day, often without being aware of it.
What is Hypnopsychotherapy?
Hypnopsychotherapy is a combination of techniques,
including hypnosis, to distract the unconscious mind allowing your therapist to access your deeper, unconscious mind and introduce
the positive suggestions and ideas required to affect a change in your thoughts and behaviours. This combination can
bring about much more rapid changes than traditional 'talking therapies' alone.
What is NLP?
NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming) is an extremely effective
set of strategies that enable you to understand why you think and behave the way you do. NLP can allow you
to, literally, "change your mind", free it of negative thoughts, alter your behaviour and achieve your goals.
NLP techniques can be used with or without formal hypnosis
